Mardi Gras Queen’s Float

By Erica Kidzus

I have been sculpting for a Mardi Gras float company for 3 years. My first project was a 10 foot tall EPS Styrofoam sculpture where I used only a reciprocating saw and a kitchen knife to execute. My father, the wonderful man he is, ordered the 4-Foot Compound Bow Cutter and Industrial Hot Knife Kit for me after my first project! I had explained in casual conversation to him how there were tools out there that would make it easier for me to do my job, and he was the one who found your company and ordered the tools I use now! With Hot Wire Foam Factory tools, my life became SO much easier!

This project was the redesign of a Mardi Gras Queen’s Float. The crown stands at 3.5 foot tall and 9 foot wide accompanied by 10 panels of filigree all made out of EPS styrofoam.
