Hellacious Glowing Tombstone and More

Marsha Bryant

Here’s a look at Marsha’s infernal new design with more builds soon to come, all part of her 2021 tombstone set.

Dunn Gondahel

Dunn Gondahel features a unique insert with glowing lights. She started out by carving the general shape of the tombstone in four layers, then gluing them all together.

Once the glue dried, she started refining the shape of it, then engraved the words on the front.

She made a chicken-wire cage and added spray foam to give it an hellfire texture. She recommends to spray in piles rather than long movements in order to create this look. For spray paint, she used orange, fire engine red, and black. The next step was to add the hands reaching out from the flames. She added single ply tissues to give them texture and painted them with a tan craft paint.

She added the lighting to the back of the chicken wire cage, making small holes for the lights to fit inside. The lights are set to have a smooth pulsating effect when turned on.

She finished it up by added skull decorations to the top, then painted the tombstone gray with a white dry brush.‍
