9-11 Memorial Sculpture
An EPS Foam Based Sculpture

Colette Pitcher, owner of Showcase Art Center in Greeley, Colorado, sculpted this bronze firefighter, titled “Every Day A Hero,” as a 9-11 memorial. This sculpture was chosen as the “Rotary 9-11 Memorial” and sent to New York for the 10th Anniversary of 9-11 in 2011. She used EPS foam to sculpt an armature, and has made a video showing the step-by-step process.
