Order of the Dragon

The project was for the CyFair Indoor Drumline’s winter program called The Order of the Dragon. Each year this drumline competes at a local and a national level through the TCGC and the WGI circuits respectively. This year, I had the pleasure of getting work work with the drumline to help them create various props for their winter production. My work can be seen in the skeletal “rib” structures that line the back of the floor, and again with the dragons head that appears at the end of the show after the performers have successfully completed the ritual to “bring it back to life.” In the end, the dragon ended up traveling all over the Houston local area performing at various local shows, all the way until it traveled across the country to Dayton, Ohio. There, it made its world debut on the floor of the UD Arena during the World Percussion Finals during WGI 2018 where the CyFair Drumline managed to place 7th.
