Charming Party and Display Props

By Natalia Marchese of MIXT UP DESIGNS
https://www.mixtupdesigns.com/

Natalia has a talent for creating vibrant and delightful props for parties, displays, and more. Many of her designs feature sweets like ice cream, macaroons, and donuts, but she also delves into other themes like under the sea decor, graduation props, and retro displays to name a few.

‍Natalia uses a few Hot Wire tools (like our 16-Inch 3D Scroll Table, Freehand Router, and Engraver) as well as sand paper and sanding blocks to cut out and detail foam shapes, then uses one of our glues (depending on the project) to put it all together.

“One of the two most frequent questions I get is… “what glue do you use?” There are many glues you can use and I’ve tried most of them, but my favorite by far are glues from Hot Wire Foam Factory. I always recommend them.

Today I am using their FoamFast Adhesive. It just takes a thin layer. I apply it to both surfaces. Don’t go all the way to the edge of the foam, it will be harder to make it seamless. Spread it in a thin layer, press hard, and use a weight to press it down overnight.”
