FAQs
What’s the difference between an Engraver and a Hot Knife?
Our Hot Knives are designed to cut through foam. Though they can do some detailing, they do not excel at it. The Engravers are the best tools for creating fine details such as bricks and cracks, but are not effective at cutting foam.
What are the differences between the Precision and Long Engravers?
The Precision Engraver is shorter, but has a more precise pointed tip for greater detail work. The Long Engraver has a blunter tip, but the shaft is longer which makes it better for poking holes for wires, pegs, etc.
Can you engrave with the Probe Tool?
Technically you could, but it would be a lot like trying to cut something out of a piece of printer paper with garden shears. It would just be too unwieldy to be practical.
