“I’m Late, I’m Late” Foam and Peeps® Rabbit Sculpture

Vivian Davis is an artist who makes some great pieces and art tutorials. In 2018, she created this foam Rabbit sculpture based off the Whit Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland for the Carroll Arts Center Peep Show in Westminster, Maryland and won second place. The exterior is decorated with actual Marshmallow Peeps.

Vivian started entering the contest back in 2016. Her first project was the shoe home pictured below and was also made using foam. For the next year, she submitted the large dragon and won the grand prize.

For the rabbit, she used foam insulation boards as the core. She carved it out using the 10-Inch Industrial Hot Knife as well as a few of our hand tools.

Once the shape was sculpted, she used stale Peeps that were donated by the Peeps manufacturers at Just Born to decorate the exterior.
