Part 1: STAR WARS NABOO CITY FALL w Canal River, Step Bridges, and Drains

“The Naboo City was most enjoyable. lots of steady and tedious line work, but worth the effort and wait to see it done.”

‍‍

“Many of my most successful pieces have both water pieces and carved brickwork or stone work, cracks through icy surfaces, or lava-filled cracks through dark scary rocky surfaces. So much is often challenging and because I do a lot ( 80-90% ) of commissioned work, I am always building a thing for the first and only time. Some items, such as scatter terrain, forests , and the river/Waterfall sets have long been staples, but each of these is also almost all commissioned work and every last one is original and unique.

Materials: I use Owen Corning products almost exclusively. But lots of folks work with Dow (blue) foam as well. White foams are less dense and can simply dissolve under too much heat, Test first. Ventilation. Don’t skip it.”

“The very BEST advice I can give is to explore the possibilities of your tools. Yeah… it’s an engraver and you can DRAW on foam with it, but you can also melt away skull eye sockets, make holes for supporting posts, clear under and behind hanging rock and ice formations, etc.
