Casey is a holiday decor artist whose work can primarily been seen on TikTok. The majority of his pieces are inspired by Tim Burton’s classic stop motion film “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. Featured here is his latest project, a meticulously constructed Halloween Town village where many of the structures are hand made out of pink XPS foam.
“I start off with a picture of what I’m going to build and then visualize my approach.” Shown below are some in-progress shots of Jack Skellington’s house as well as the platform for the holiday tree doorways.
“My favorite part is when we get into the edging on the roof or putting a wood grain texture on the foam. The tools I used are the Hot Wire Foam Factory Engraver, 6-Inch Hot Knife, and the Freehand Router.”
Below here, we can see the town hall, fountain, and spiral hill being built.
With all the pieces constructed, Casey painted them and put the whole thing together. This village display is a great representation of many of the key spots seen in the movie.
