Snow-Covered Christmas Village
Kimberly Maness
For her Christmas 2021 display, Kimberly Maness designed this intricately crafted and incredibly festive village display complete with brick roads and platforms, sculpted pathways, a central mountain with a waterfall that flows under a custom made bridge, and a light snowfall resting on top of everything.
“I used a combination of tools in the Crafters Kit, utilizing the Sculpting Tool to create the sloped Merchant Hill Road where many of the shops are located.”
“I sculpted a mountain as a focal point out of a Styrofoam cooler from work (medical/pharmaceutical cooler), added pieces of Styrofoam to the outside faces, then plastered and painted it. The Sculpting Tool makes rocks and rough-looking roadways a breeze!”
“I used the Engraver Tool to make brick-paved roads as well as the brickwork and stone outlines. The 6-Inch Hot Knife was used to bore out holes in the base Styrofoam for the cords. I also used this tool when outlining or creating shallow lines and stairs.”
“My Crafters Kit is a joy for me. The set indulges my creative side and allows me to create some impressive village creations. Thank you for your products and service!”
