Part 4: Finishing Up

To finish off the lake, Miriam used Woodland Scenics Water Effects to create a waterfall that rushes down from the higher part of the lake to the lower. While it was drying, she precut some Lemax Moss Mat for the park pathways.

‍‍

From there, she created some rock lights, positioned them where she wanted them to be, and cut holes for the wiring with the 3-Inch Hot Knife.

After that, she used a thicker and greener Moss Mat to cover the grassy areas of the display, then used loose moss to blend the edges together.

From there, she used the Freehand Router to carve a stone-like texture around the outer edge of the display and painted it with a black wash. Once the wash was dry, she dry brushed highlights of dark grey, light grey, and nutmeg brown and added fencing around the display.

‍‍

With all of that done, the last thing to do was add the waterfall effects to the lake. She positioned the waterfall where she wanted it to be, then used more Water Effects to glue it down and great ripple effects at the base and top of the waterfall.
