Part 2: More Cutting & Refining

Using leftover scrap foam pieces, they cut out some of the smaller parts and accessories, then glued those pieces on to the engines.

They mounted the intake tubes to a turntable and used the 4-Foot Bow Cutter to bevel the outer and inner edges.

Then, it was time to add the details. They cut out flaps and other details with the 3-Inch Hot Knife and added pieces made out of foam board.

From there, they had to figure out how to bring a new giant EPS foam block to their shop through the snow so they could cut new wings for the engines. Thankfully, they were successful, and once the wings were cut out, they were able to assemble both engines to get an idea of how they’d look in the end.
