Part 2: Trimming & Turret Printing
In order to fit the tail, they had to cut out a section of the back end of the fuselage for it to slide into.
Dave started designing the turrets in CAD for 3D printing.
With the pieces of the tail cut out, they assembled it and used templates to round the tips and shape the rudder and cockpit.
To fit the tail pieces together, they made a foam spar and wrapped it in a couple layers of fiberglass to give it added strength.

Dave finished designing the top turret and printed it out. The turrets include a removable rail system for an FPV camera.
Once the turret was fully printed and assembled, they added the motors to it and tested the FPV.
With the top turret out of the way, it was time to start on the underside ball turret.
